Say Goodbye to Survival Mode:  9 Simple Strategies to Stress Less, Sleep More, and Restore Your Passion for Life

By:  Crystal Paine

Rating:  4.5 out of 5 Stars

Review:  I tend to be  a Martha but wish I was a Mary.  You might describe my days as “crazy” or “chaotic.”  So when I came across this book, my interest was instantly piqued.  I love all things organization and strive to be a woman who’s life functions smoothly (however of a fairy tale that may be), and I absolutely adore someone who will give me practical steps to put feet to my dreams.  Paine did this beautifully!  From the moment I began reading, I had a hard time putting it down and eagerly looked forward to the time when I could pick it  up again.  Although some of her suggestions didn’t always work for me (like doing the hardest part of your day first thing in the morning), I found much of her advice helpful and encouraging.  I am currently working on putting into place some of her suggestions (like waking up earlier on a regular basis and modifying my schedule to match my passions).

From one blogger/reader to another, Paine did an excellent job in keeping the book interesting.  She also included spots for your own notes and helpful spreadsheets in the appendix (for those crazy organizers out there :-)).  Most importantly, she wrote from a Christian perspective and included, reminded and emphasized the importance of a daily, growing walk with the Lord (first priority).  I would definitely recommend this book!
