WHAT I LEARNED (THIS WEEK)
By: Marie Drakulic
I learned that things don’t
always turn out as I planned.
Because you can’t make a decision for
others,
And God’s ways are not my ways.
I learned my faith is the weakest in
moments of fear and anxiety.
And if I let him, Satan WILL defeat me.
But I
also learned the strength of prayer,
And the mighty power of Christ’s
name.
I learned I can’t save a saint.
So I better stop preaching to the
choir,
And start loving my lost neighbor.
I learned that people will let you
down.
But God will never fail you.
I’m not running the race for them,
But to
serve Him.
I learned a lot this week.
But God had a bigger lesson to teach
me . . .
He said:
“I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall
and stand before
me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not destroy
it, but I found
none.”*
“Are you standing in the gap?
“You cannot
quit,
Because I endured the cross.
You cannot give up,
Because I did not give
up on you.
Sometimes you may feel like you’re standing alone,
Like David
before Goliath with a sling and a stone,
But I will be with you.”
Again He
questioned me:
“Whom shall I send?
And who will go for us?”
After all I had
learned this week,
In a humbled voice and broken spirit,
I said:
“I’m still
here, Lord. Send me!”**
